In Philippians 1:3-5, Paul commends the church at Philippi by concluding, “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.” Paul rejoices over this church, knowing they have faithfully partnered with Paul in prayer, communion, and financial giving to ensure the ministry of God continues across the Roman Empire. What a wonderful picture and invitation to faithfully partner in the work of the Lord.
Each year, we seek to use the final month as an opportunity to raise funds to send the gospel to the ends of the earth. This year, due to taking on the ownership of the church building, sending out Grove Community Church, and losing some of our own outside financial partners, we will use the final month as a call for the church to prayerfully consider covering the expenses we currently have. Over the next few weeks, we will clearly communicate the need, which now sits at over $5,000. By God’s grace, we have used reserves to cover these expenses.
Still, we want to challenge you to prayerfully ask the Lord what contribution he would like you to provide so we can finish 2023 covering our expenses and not dip into our savings, instead utilizing them for future renovations. We are grateful for your partnership and thank you in advance for seeking his face and graciously giving out of what the Lord has given you!
